End of June 2013 in my hometown: The 3. Hinterhalt -Festival. Come and See, Feel, Hear, Eat, Watch, Hang, Talk...

In June Lucas will be touring in Mozambique and South Africa, together with Rolando Lamussene, one of the members of BEAT BAG BOHEMIA, the Drum Quartet the documentary film is about. The Tour.

From May 1st to 7th 2013 the Trio with Elliot Sharp, Melvin Gibbs and Lucas Niggli will be on CD Release Tour: "Crossing The Waters" ( Intakt Records).

In February 2013 the new percussion trio TRIO KLICK ( Hauser - Niggli - Zumthor)  will start performing. After the first promising rehearsels: it will be an unique music for eyes and ears!

The Lorenz Raab Expanded Quartet with the Line-Up of Lorenz Raab (A, trp) , Michel Godard (F, tuba), Eirik Hegdal ( N, sax ) and LN has produced a CD for UNIT Records, which is released in Summer 2012.

In November 2012 there will be the second edition of the Piano PAM festival in Uster, curated by Lucas Niggli. His guests are

From March 1. to 15. in  2012 the Label INTAKT RECORDS is presenting a great programm in New York, at the Club "The Stone" - Patrik Landolt curated two weeks of improvised music with many musicians from New York and Zürich. Lucas will perform 3times: a Duo with Fred Frith, a Trio with  Elliot Sharp and Melvin Gibbs and a  Trio with Angelica Sanchez and Tim Berne. Check the Programm here.

From January 19th to 26th 2012 the Trio with the GREAT Canadian Pianist Paul Plimley and Barry Guy with Lucas Niggli will be on Tour in Europe and Record a CD for INTAKT.

STEAMBOAT SWITZERLAND will perform a Late Night Show at The Lucerne Festival Am Piano, with a premier of a New Piece by Wertmüller. November 26th 2011

From May 10th to 23rd 2011 the Lucas Niggli Drum Quartet will be on Tour again, in Europe. With Kesivan Naidoo ( Capetown) , Rolando Lamussene (Maputo), Pez Zumthor ( Haldenstein) , LN.

During the Summer 2011 the Drum Duo of Peter Conradin Zumthor and Lucas Niggli will record a New CD for the Therme Vals. Incl two commissioned compositions for the two Drummers by Barry Guy and Fritz Hauser.

After the big success of the Hinterhalt-Festival in 2009, some friends of mine, artists and cultural-players  are organising a second issue: from July 1 to 3 , 2011, in the middle of Uster, where I have my Atelier. More Infos about the transmedial programm NOW on www.hinterhalt.ch

From  11th to  13. march 2011 Lucas Niggli is invited to curate the  Jazz Days Bludenz ( A) where he presents his actual works. A Portrait in Music: he will perform with STEAMBOAT SWITZERLAND, BLACK LOTOS, Biondini-Godard-Niggli, Zumthor-Niggli Drum Duo as well with a special project called AFRICALLS with Musicians from Berne and Vorarlberg. The Quinett Lucas Niggli BIG ZOOM is back on stage with a new Line Up. The Trio ZOOM with Wogram,Schaufelberger, LN is now with flutist  Anne La Berge ( USA/NL) and bassist Barry Guy ( UK,/CH); they form the new quintett BIG ZOOM. A longer Tour with the CD Release of "polisation" on INTAKT is scheduled for January 2011.

Lucas is a member of the great Septett FORCEMAJEUR by Swiss Composer Felix Profos, we will perform next at Jazzfestival Willisau. A Tour and CD Recording is planned for November 10.

The Lucas Niggli Drum Quartet will play at The Sound No Walls Festival in Berlin @ the Philharmonie. Rolando and Kesivan will exclusivly arrive from SouthAfrica.

Lucas will be part of a larger project called "Fixed, Fragmented &Fluid" which will be a collaboration between the great Animationfilm-Artist Michel Gagné and Barry Guy. It will be a live show with an international  seven-piece ensemble, and a giant screen that will combine abstract animation and jazz music. The performance will take place on June 25th, 2010 as the opening night performance of the Innovation Series at the Roundhouse Performance Centre, in Vancouver, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

In November 2010 ( 19th and 20th) I will organise a Piano Festival in my concert series PAM ( Platz für Andere Musik, Uster) @ qbus. We will hear the MONDRIAN Quartet, Irene Schweizer Solo, Dominik Blum Solo, and a Duo with Aki Takase and Lucas Niggli.

In September I will be touring in China with BLACK LOTOS , the Duo I have with Xu fengxia.

In March I will be on tour with 2 new Bands: FORCEMAJEUR by Felix Profos with Vera Kappeler (p, harmonium), Raphael Camenisch & Sebastian Pottmeier (sax), Christian Weber & John Eckhardt (b), Lucas Niggli (dr), Felix Profos (comp, key) and
the Trio with Luciano Biondini, Michel Godard & LN

In January 09 the Drum Duo Niggli Zumthor did record with Master Engeneer Willy Strehler a Studio-production for the polish label "Not Two Records". Including the two tracks "First and Second Dance"composed for the Duo by Felix Profos. Release December 2009.

The CD "Radio Rondo/ SchaffhausenConcert" on Intakt Records  features the London Jazz Composers Orchestra with Irene Schweizer.
Lucas plays in the Drum-Section  with Paul Lytton.

My Drum Quartet will celebrate the CD Launch atthe Jazzfestival Capetown, and a CD Release Tour in Europe will follow, from September 10th to 28th, with Concerts in Switzerland,Germany, Poland.
